Littman's Yiddish Theater

Littman’s Theater, where Bess and her family go to see Yiddish films, was first housed in a building on Hastings Street, erected in 1924. But by 1927, the theater had followed the Jewish population of Detroit to move to new digs on 12th Street near Dexter. The links I’ve given you are a bit inaccurate. No, I did not commit an anachronism by sending the Horowitzes to Littman’s in 1942. According to the Michigan Jewish Chronicle, the theater was alive and well until 1944.

The only image I can find dates from 1945, when the theater was renamed the Abington.
